Part 3
Sculpting
Take a piece of newspaper.
Make a paper box.
When you have finished,
hold it up and show the teacher.
Write your name in your box.
If you have a question,
raise your hand.
Roll the clay in your hands.
Make a clay-ball.
Press the clay-ball flat
into a circle.
Gently rub the surface
of the circle
until it is smooth.
Make a hole.
After you have made your hole,
then show the teacher.
Make some stars.
Roll some small balls.
Pinch the sides of the ball five times to make stars.
Put the stars
on your circle.
Press your stars
into the clay.
After you have made your stars...
...make what you want.
Enjoy your creation!
Use water
to keep the clay wet.
Use a towl
to keep your desk dry.
Think about
what to make.
With patience
you can do it.
Look at your work.
Make patterns in the clay.
Show us what you can do.
Roll in your hands.
Roll on the desk.
Roll roll roll!
Use your imagination.
Roll clay on the desk.
Roll clay in your hands.
Concentrate
on your work...
and enjoy yourself.
Pinch and push the clay.

Part 4
Painting
Take out your paints.
Squeeze out some paint.
When the clay is dry we can paint.
We can paint stars.
We can paint rainbows.
We can paint lines.

yellow
cute stars
pink yellow and orange
many colors
Control the paint.
Keep your desk clean.
Keep your colors clear.
Keep the paint off of your desk.
experiment
Mix your colors.
Share your colors.
Work carefully.
Everyone paint one yellow star...
Then choose another color...
...and squeeze it out...
...then keep painting...
....or choose many colors.
Put them in their boxes
and let them dry.
